Double Endorsement for Intech Science Centre

RED BADGE OF QUALITY

INTECH Science Centre near Winchester, has been awarded the status of a 'Quality Assured Visitor Attraction'. An independent assessment by the national tourism organisation VAQAS (Visitor Attraction Quality Assurance Service) found INTECH met all the required standards and praise was given to its website, the range of hands-on exhibits and the overall good quality visitor experience. The distinctive red rosette symbol signifying the accreditation will now be proudly displayed at INTECH.

LORDS PRAISE INTECH

A critical House of Lords report on science teaching in schools singled out INTECH Science Centre at Winchester for praise. The landmark report by the
Science and Technology Committee, featuring such eminent names as Lord Winston and the Earl of Selborne, said that INTECH, like other UK science centres 'makes a great contribution to engaging young people in science'. The report went on to say 'we strongly endorse the use of such facilities by schools and families'.
