Please Note…. Winchester Sounds

 5th May 2010

Foundation Music presents it’s next showcase concert on Tuesday 11th May. 7.45pm. The show will feature performances from the King Alfred Singers, KASBAH Swing Band, SONG Sounds of New Gospel, Belgarum Brass, Sing Our Hearts Out, African Drumming Ensemble, and more….

“It’s am amazing chance to see the true talent of the students attending the University. For all of them, singing in a choir or playing in a band is extra to their course work so it is a credit to them that they can put on such an amazing show” says Prof June Boyce-Tillman, Director of Foundation Music.

“It is the highlight of our year in Foundation Music, we really look forward to sharing all our hard with the other students and the people of Winchester” said third year student Liz Taylor. “For some of us it will be one of the last performances we do which is a sad but an amazing time of celebration of a fantastic time at University”.

Tickets for this concert, which takes place at the West Downs Centre, Romsey Road, cost £5 (£3 concessions) and all students get in for a donation. Refreshments will be provided. Tickets will be available on the door or reservable in advance by calling 01962 827466 or by emailing Foundation.Music@Winchester.ac.uk
