Winchester winners announced for Tourism ExSEllence Awards 2009

The final results of the Tourism South East Tourism ExSEllence Awards have just been announced at a glittering Gala dinner at the Wentworth Club, Surrey. Winchester businesses received Gold, Silver and Highly Commended Awards in six of the categories. The awards ceremony was hosted by former Tourism Minister and popular television personality, Gyles Brandreth.

The awards recognise and reward tourism excellence in south-east England and are open to organisations across the region from Buckinghamshire to Kent.

Winner of a Gold Award in the Small Hotel/Townhouse of the Year category was Lainston House, Winchester, which also picked up a Silver in the Sustainable Tourism category.
