Hambledon Vineyard

The Vineyard, Hambledon

As many of you will already know, Hambledon village holds a special place in the heart of Hampshire’s history as the birth place of English cricket. At Hambledon Vineyard, elebrate this special and unique heritage and what better way than to start at Broadhalfpenny Down cricket ground for a welcome, with coffee and biscuits, to learn about the history of this internationally recognised sport and Hambledon Cricket Club’s humble beginnings. There is then an optional walk across the beautiful fields of the South Downs to Hambledon Vineyard (approximately 2 miles) where we enjoy a delicious afternoon tea and tasting of our award winning Classic Cuvée and Classic Cuvée Rosé. The day finishes with a tour of our vineyard, cellar and state of the art gravity fed winery, although you could always stop at the Bat and Ball pub for dinner before you head home!
