The life and music of Carlo Gesualdo: prince, composer, murderer

The Marian Consort
Rory McCleery (director)
with Gerald Kyd as Gesualdo

Blurring the boundaries between a one-actor play and a concert, Breaking the Rules explores the strange world and extraordinary music of Carlo Gesualdo (1566-1613), the latter brought to life by the singers of The Marian Consort and lutenist Wezi Elliott.  They provide the soundtrack to Gesualdo's mind on the final night of his life, as he contemplates his own mortality and the tumultuous events which have led him to this moment.

Not suitable for children under 12 years old.

£25 (£15 for under 18s)
