Winchester Cathedral and the Diocese of Winchester’s Environmental Group are presenting a series of three evening events in September and October. Following the very successful UN Conference on Climate Change in Paris last December, they focus on aspects of the implementation phase of the agreement that was supported by all 195 participating countries.

Thursday 6 October:

Taking Steps: a Challenging Journey Towards Eco Church

Part 1: Introduction to Eco Church - Dr Ruth Valerio, Churches and Theology Director, A Rocha UK

Part 2: “Winchester Cathedral:  Working Towards a Greener Future” - Canon Annabelle Boyes, Receiver-General

Eco Church is A Rocha UK’s new award scheme for churches in England and Wales that demonstrates how a Loving God and his Creation should impact on everything in our church lives. This event is an opportunity for parishioners from across the Diocese, members of the local community and the Cathedral community to learn how to embrace the Eco Church scheme in their local church as well as in Winchester Cathedral.

Available online at and via the Cathedral Box Office on 01962 857275. Tickets for each event will be £5, with a three-event season ticket of £12.
