The Holiday Inn Winchester has a warm welcome for any size group, and is perfectly situated to explore a range of attractions on the outskirts of Winchester if you have half a day to spend in the city. After lunch move next door to The Winchester Science Centre and Planetarium for a journey into outer space. Then it’s on to Marwell Wildlife, the second largest attraction in the Winchester District. Finally it’s a short hop to Bishop’s Waltham Palace on the outskirts of the popular market town to view the impressive ruins of the Bishop’s Palace, take a quick tour of the restored museum and hear a little about the historic medieval market town itself.

12.50pm – 12.55pm: Short stroll to The Winchester Science Centre and Planetarium

1pm – 1.45pm: Screening of Planetarium show*

1.50pm – 2.20pm: Travel to Marwell Wildlife

2.20pm – 3.50pm: Explore Marwell Wildlife, why not take the mini train through the zoo and stop at Café Graze for a bite to eat?

3.50pm – 4pm: Travel to Bishop’s Waltham Palace

4pm – 4.30pm: Brisk viewing of Bishop’s Waltham Palace before returning to the hotel
